Hone Structural Health Monitoring (India) Pvt. Ltd. was founded to make continuous, technically rigorous structural health monitoring commercially viable for infrastructure owners — from national railway bridges to centuries-old heritage monuments.
At Hone SHM, our mission is to safeguard infrastructure through innovative technologies and data-driven solutions. We strive to provide real-time monitoring, predictive insights, and early warnings to ensure the safety, sustainability, and longevity of infrastructure.
We exist to make infrastructure smarter, by turning hone’s techno-commercially viable distress monitoring mechanisms into a routine part of how bridges, buildings, dams, tunnels and monuments are managed — not an afterthought reserved for crises.
The doctoral and post-doctoral research of our founder, Dr. Mahesh Varma, on masonry dome mechanics, thrust-line analysis and structural health monitoring — conducted with IIT Bombay and Politecnico di Milano — underpins the methodology we bring to every field assignment.
That research foundation now spans real installations across India and international assignments including an office building in Doha, Qatar, giving clients confidence that our recommendations are grounded in peer-reviewed engineering, not just instrumentation.
